Vespa is so talented it is ridiculous - he has come from Sweden and is a grandson of my great dog Echobrook Dexster and his father is a Champion Obedience dog in Sweden (there are u-tube videos of Alsterbygdens Torpare) Vespa lives up to his name as he is very very QUICK - he has such talent I sometimes gasp as his ability. He certainly has inherited the genes for obedience as he is a complete natural. Vespa likes nothing more than learning - he just wants to learn learn and learn
Vespa is so agile and athletic (his hip and elbow score reflect this) and is afraid of nothing - I genuinely have never seen a young dog hunt the way he does and he can jump over any obstacle you ask him to. He is fast on his retrieves out and back and has a superb memory
I think he could have been a detection or tracking dog as his nose is fantastic or an agility or obedience or anything that he wants to be - it is difficult to know which path to take with him because he is so talented and keen but at present I am working on all the obedience and working gundog exercises which he loves - his prey drive it very strong Vespa is very exciting for the future and any puppies sired by him will be great fun and keep you on your toes! Even though he is so fast and driven he is very biddable and has great recall and loyalty and is wonderful with the other dogs
Vespa is a nice size, he is very compact with a light agile frame with a pretty head and expression
Vespa is now a proven stud dog and is proving to be a very easy stud dog - very polite and just gets on with it . He has not had a failure todate
At April 2024 he has had 7 litters
